Aussie PC Fix Performance Computers provide high performance parts built to handle all usual computing needs as well as more demanding tasks such as video and photo editing. It should be very fast for activities like browsing the Internet, email, word processing and casual gaming.
The Performance Computer range include a dedicated graphics card to offload any video or graphics processing from the CPU to the graphics processor unit (GPU). This range of PCs will give better game performance with the included video cards, but as a always this can easily be upgraded to a higher performance video card if you plan on buying the very latest 3D type video/computer games or very demanding games such as Crysis. The included processor is a highly recommended performance Core i7-860 quad-core CPU with hyper-threading. Multi-core processors are ideal if you use programs that can take advantage of four cores, such as some video/audio/photo editing/processing applicatiions and other specialised programs, but also speed up over performance as background tasks such as antivirus and general Windws tasks can be performed on unused cores, freeing up processing power for your current application in use.
Recommended motherboards are from Gigabyte and Asus and include a dedicated PCI-E video card with high quality video DVI-D and HDMI outputs for a better image quality on a LCD monitor or even to a High Definition television. Serial or parallel legacy ports can also be added if required.
Performance Computers are configured with 4GB RAM/memory and two 1000GB (1TB) hard drive to store your data and/or backups, and also a high quality quiet brand name power supply with a 5 year warranty. These are easily upgraded if required - just as any other part can be customised to build your ideal computer. Note that to use mote than 4GB RAM, you will need a 64-bit operating system.
Aussie PC Fix Canberra computers come completely assembled and tested with one year warranty, all inside a standard midi-tower case with DVD burner. After you have chosen your computer configuration from the categories above, along with any upgrades, all you need to do to make a complete computer system is to choose which version of Windows that you would like to use, as well as a screen/monitor for viewing if you need a new one or would like to upgrade to a widescreen LCD.
Many users still prefer to use Windows XP, which we still have available until stocks run out. Otherwise you can choose from several editions of Vista - the Home Premium and Ultimate editions are most popular.
All new computer screens are now LCD, with 22" now the best size for value for money - or choose a 19" if this is too large for your work area. Otherwise you may choose a free used 17" CRT (box-like) monitor if we have any in stock, free with any new or used computer sold!
