About Aussie PC Fix

Aussie PC Fix is a Canberra business founded in early 2004, located in Canberra, Australia.

The business is owned and operated by Mark Boughton, a local Canberran who has lived in the Capital for nearly 25 years. Mark established a computer repair and support business with a focus on customer service.

The Aussie PC Fix philosophy is to understand and educate the customer about their computer, while also providing exceptional customer service to fix your computer and nearly all related!

Mark's IT training and teaching skills ensures that sometimes difficult computing concepts can be explained to the customer in plain English.

Aussie PC Fix guarantee all services performed (except data recovery) so if we ever can't diagnose and be able to solve your problem then of course there is no charge! If a fix is suggested (e.g. PC needs a replacement part or Windows reinstall) and you do not proceed with this then a diagnosis fee would still be charge.

We also make sure your total costs aren't excessive so the maximum labour charge for each computer is $297, except for some data recovery or in exceptional circumstances and notified first.

Mark Boughton, Owner

Mark has always been a technology enthusiast and has an everlasting passion for computers and all that's related. Discovered game playing and learnt to program on his first computer, a Commodore 64 as a kid. After years of learning computers on this and an Amiga 500, I got my first true 'IBM Compatible' PC nearly 20 years ago and have never looked back!

Over countless years of PC experimentation, tweaking, modding, every Microsoft Windows version released since 3.0, developed a knack for fixing Windows and the hundreds of other software programs compelled to experiment and test with.

After the first PC I was hooked, always then building computers from parts and upgrading and learning. After starting to repair and upgrade others PCs I found my calling and started business doing what I enjoy most. Not only to help fix the computers, but also help others use them!

Apart from some travel interstate and overseas, I have lived in Canberra from a very young age.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor of IT from the Australian National University (ANU), Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (AWT), and Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management).

Mark has always enjoyed teaching, and was a private mathematics and science tutor over five years while studying thru college and ANU, and also held various Database Administrator contracts using Access.
